"As some architects who found modern functionalism boring and, claiming that Anatolia didn’t find modern architecture very friendly, began to turn away from it, new trends began to emerge. These architects turned their gaze towards the past, examined buildings of the past and brought them together, to create new building designs, and to some extent, to calm the people, and sometimes the outcome of their effort turned out to be incompatible wholes."
